Thanks
to the hard work of
Music Director Arthur Johnson,
Trinity Episcopal Church has many
unique musical experiences to offer.
Trinity houses the largest pipe organ in
Nevada as well as the largest working
carillon, or bell tower, in the state.
Our Casavant Frères Pipe Organ Opus
3778 with its 37 ranks and 2,177 pipes
was first played in May 1999. Over
$400,000 was received from individuals
and foundations whose names are
engraved on an organ pipe.
The carillon,
which is housed in the Garth Sibbald
Memorial Tower, can be played as a part of the pipe
organ and also chimes according to the time. This
carillon
consists of 35 Flemish Bells that were a gift of
BonnieJean Richardson and was installed in 1973.
The
organ is intended to benefit the larger community
through various concerts, as well as for use by our congregation.
Some
of our musical events include a weekly concert every
Friday at noon. (The only exception being Good Friday.)
The church also features an annual concert series
entitled Great Artists.
